The Kingdom Kids
ABOUT THE TEAM / SHOW
THE KINGDOM KIDS are a trio of some of Vermont’s most experienced improv comedians. The cast all grew up in the northeast corner of the state (AKA the “Northeast Kingdom”), hanging out in places like gravel pits, drugstore parking lots, and decrepit movie theaters.
In their popular show at Vermont Comedy Club, the team asks audience members where they hung out as teenagers (and what kind of trouble they got up to there).
Then, the Kingdom Kids use these audience stories as inspiration for an entirely improvised, freewheeling and wildly entertaining comedy show.
With a shared sense of humor that is smart, sarcastic and silly, this homegrown troupe of performers puts on an unpredictable show that is enjoyable for any audience.
If you’ve never seen improv before, this is a great place to start. If you’re already a fan, this is a can’t-miss show!

MORE ABOUT THE KINGDOM KIDS
Nathan Hartswick and Natalie Miller make up two-thirds of The Kingdom Kids. They are the married cofounders of Vermont Comedy Club, a 140-seat standup and improv comedy theater in Burlington, VT. The venue is well-known for its incredible standup programming (featuring such legends as Maria Bamford, Marc Maron, and Nikki Glaser). But VCC also has a well-respected improv community, offering classes, workshops, and its annual Big Pond Improv Festival.
Brian De La Bruere, the third member of the team, is a constant presence at VCC, as a performer, teacher and its Marketing & Social Media Manager. Brian brings a sense of chaos and energy to the Kingdom Kids, balancing Nathan’s intellectual style of play and Natalie’s big-hearted warmth.
All three talented improvisers grew up in the rural area of Vermont known as “The Northeast Kingdom” (from which their team name is derived). They have all been performing and teaching improv for over 10 years, having studied with experts from Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City and iO. They have also taught and performed at festivals from Montreal to Miami, New York to California.
With a shared sense of humor that is smart, sarcastic and silly, The Kingdom Kids’ live shows are always a wild, fun and unpredictable audience favorite.
