Part-Time Line/Prep Cook.

About the Position

VCC is seeking part-time staff to work in our kitchen. Our space is clean and the staff you’ll be working with is a bunch of friendly team-players who are down-to-earth and professional.

In this job, you’ll be tasked with prepping and cooking food, running orders to customers, running the dishwasher and more. Our kitchen is smaller than most restaurants, with rushes at showtimes, and downtime in between to prep, clean, communicate with your coworkers, etc.

You’ll receive good pay and work with a great team.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be available nights and weekends, be trustworthy and punctual, able to work on feet for 6-8 hours, and able to lift 50 lbs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and be self-motivated during less busy times to work on projects.

Tasks may include, but aren’t limited to: preparing food for service; running food to customers; operating a commercial dishwasher, cleaning; restocking; bussing tables, etc.

Experience in food service not required, but preferred.

Perks include: working for a local business that values its staff and the community it serves; ability to see comedy shows/take comedy classes for free; relatively simple menu/kitchen compared to other restaurants.
